10 Ways to Increase Traffic to Your Website

Ever since the time websites became new to the World Wide Web, webmasters have been trying to direct traffic to their websites. As this was no easy task, webmasters found a way; a way that cost them money. Over the years, website promotion became much easier. Now, with over four million websites on the internet, when a web user has found your website, you shouldn’t take their visit for granted. So, I have listed ten ways to increase your traffic.

1. Main problem is that most websites are “Under Construction”, so when a visitor visits that website, they will waste no time leaving. So, FIRST, you must keep your website out of too much “construction.” And, you may use an e-mail notifier to announce to your members or customers that your website construction is complete and they can come back.

2. Second, ADS; I see too many ads on one website, and because of that, i don’t want to stay there for long. The best web host yo ucan get is HostUltra. They offer unlimited disk space, ad-free, but the reason this host is the best… it’s FREE! I hosted one of my websites there and loved it.

3. If you have content on your website that can be found in other places, most likely your visitors will leave. so, it’s wise to use your own content or anyo other content that can’t be found on any other website. But if you use content from someone else, be sure to get their permission first.

4. Add-ons. If you anything like an email service or a message board or forum, that can be acessed on your website, your visitors will hafe something to come back to. With an email service, your visitors can register or login to check their mail. People like me, check their mail everyday, so this is a great idea to consider. You can get a free email service at http://www.zzn.com/. And with a message board, yor members can talk to you or each other.

5. Another great way to increase your traffic is by a Tell a Friend form or button that you can put on your website. With this, your visitors can invite their friends and their friends, on and on. So, your traffic will keep flowing if this happens. But do not force yor visitors to invite their friends, just remind them.

6. Short URLs are also importantif you want your visitors to have an easy and quick way to acess your website. One of the best is FreeDomain.co.nr; CJB.net is good too.

7. Affiliation. With affiliates, you can get alot more traffic. When you affiliate with someone, try to partner up with a popular website that has content related to yours.

8. Advertise. You can advertise your website at www.trafficexchange.com, which is a great traffic exchange program for anyone to use. When you advertise on a large website like TrafficExchange, millions of web users could find your website and keep returning to it.

9. Service or product support. If you have a service or product, your customers would like to have a place on your website that they can get support, otherwise they will find a better place. You can go to Bravenet to get a free chat service ar you can just search Google for one.

10. If you have a business where you offer products online for residents in your area, sponsoring a car, purchasing a billboard or anything else you can advertise on is a good idea.

I hope this article was helpful to you.

Artificial Intelligent Air Mass Movement Super Computer Prediction

It seems it is time to add a little bit of artificial intelligence into the supercomputer system that predicts the weather and tracks the hurricanes at NOAA. Artificial intelligence computers can learn and program themselves and by feeding them all the archived data from all the past recent hurricane seasons and five years worth of normal airflow and normal weather patterns, we should be able to get a pretty good idea of exactly what the super storms will do. We need to know as hurricanes form exactly where they are going and where they will make landfall yet what amount of force on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

If these supercomputers to train themselves in work through trillions of calculations per second, using all the old data collected they should be able to give us a pretty good idea of exactly what is to happen. Additionally we need to add some more datasets into these equations for instance solar flares and how they heat up our atmosphere; also underwater oceanography and volcanic vents. Since we are in a La Nina season we know that the 2006 Atlantic tropical hurricane season will be severe and it could perhaps rivaled the 2005 hurricane season. Of course we hope it won’t in early predictions show that will be somewhat less however we cannot know for sure. Once those ocean surface temperatures start heating up in the Gulf of Mexico and when those hurricanes into the Gulf of Mexico there is just no telling what type of devastation will be created.

We must upgrade our supercomputers at NOAA to ensure that they are able to track, predicts and tell us the information we need to know to warn our citizens. During the 2005 hurricane season NOAA did a wonderful job providing the data we needed to protect the American people. But this is no time to rest on our laurels, because this is a time when we need to forge ahead and Press on to better what we have in our supercomputer weather systems. Introducing artificial intelligence, which can learn and reprogram themselves to better estimate weather is essential in this decade of hurricane cycles. Consider this 2006 per

Increased Gaming Notebook Saturation Best for Consumers

Itwas not very long ago when only a few companies produced gaming laptops. Before the small number of sales countered by the profit margins. Regardless of that everyone probably wanted one. Simply they were the best laptops in the market. I would get very excited by them however I knew I could not go out and buy laptops at the price points they were going for. Nowadays things are really contrasting with larger brands also producing gaming laptops.

In my opinion they would get away by retailing them at a greater price if they wanted. This would be a great way to produce sizable profits for them. In addition they are aware they can sway people to buy laptops like these better than small companies. I’m quite confident that littler retailers will be forced to reduce their prices in order to compete. With the resources at their disposal they could simply finish the smaller competition. Littler manufacturers can’t possibly use a brand name like the bigger companies could.

The notebooks are surprisingly good too. This is surely the only advantage that smaller competitors can provide that the tier 1 brands can’t. Majority of the time the pre built notebooks are good performers however not powerful enough and some buyers don’t like that. This type of purchaser is normally well versed in the technical aspects and is able to contrast the specs. In my opinion I reckon consumers care more about the performance rather than appearance.

From a consumer position this is all a positive situation. This should act to make the newest technology greatly accessible for the consumer. Even though I say that, I’m not really sure of my predictions. The best laptops are typically going to be out of reach to be telling the truth. More competition traditionally induces improved technology at lower prices so the times ahead should be promising.

3 Things to Look For in a Debt Management Company Online

Debt management companies give you the tools to get yourself out of debt, so you can start saving for your future. There are several companies online that offer to help you manage your debts, but not all of them are created equal. There are 3 important things to look for in a reputable online debt management company. With so many online debt management companies available, you don’t have the options to shop around for a company you are comfortable working with.

Look for a company that has a good record of negotiating with lenders.

Debt settlement companies negotiate with credit card companies to reduce the amount you owe, often by getting you lower interest rates or having fees and penalties dropped. Make sure that the company you choose has a history of significantly lowering what its clients owe. If they don’t seem to be able to negotiate much off of the debt, shop around for a company that can.

Look for a company that will help you have your debts paid off in three years or less.

If their plan takes you longer than three years to payback your credit card debt, it isn’t worth your time. Either they haven’t negotiated your debt down far enough with the credit card companies, or they haven’t secured you a low enough interest rate that allows you to make substantial payments each month on the principle amount of your debt.

Make sure that the company you deal with understands your budget when it sets up your payment plan.

While you want to pay off your debts in the shortest amount of time possible, you also have to live while you are doing it. While you may be expected to cut back on some things, you hate to eat, pay rent, and provide for your other needs. Make sure that the company you deal with understands the limits of your budget and is willing to work with in those parameters.

Kitchen Design Trends: What’s Hot for Your Kitchen?

So, you have just made the decision to remodel the kitchen! No decision about your home environment is more important because of the key activities that take place in the kitchen. Now is the time to do a little personal research and find out what your options are.

Exploring Space in Your Kitchen

The larger the space, the easier it is to outfit your kitchen for a modern multi-tasking family. But, not all kitchens are large enough to blend task areas. A qualified and experienced kitchen planning specialist may be able to help you “find” additional square footage you didn’t realize you have by removing a wall, opening a closet or raising the ceiling.

Add critical space to your kitchen by carefully planning your cabinets to include features that store the kinds of items you have. Many and varied special cabinets or cabinet inserts are available for every imaginable storage need.

Universal Kitchen Design

The emphasis on ease-of-use in public buildings prompted by the Americans with Disabilities Act is prompting a growing trend in the housing market, too. Whether you have a disabled person in your family or not, everyone can benefit by keeping Universal Design principles in mind when planning a new kitchen. Innovations like those in KraftMaid’s Passport Cabinetry make it simple to be sure all functions in the kitchen can be easily performed by any family member regardless of stature or physical capabilities.

Five Tips for Universal Design in Your Kitchen

  1. Universal Design means planning the spaces that everyone finds easy to use
  2. One of the most basic principles of kitchen design is offering a variety of work top heights
  3. Beauty does not need to be sacrificed for functionality. Both are important and can work together to create an ambient environment
  4. Place kitchen appliances where they can be easily reached and allow use by a seated person
  5. Be sure kitchen cabinet doors and pull-outs increase access rather than impede it, if there is a wheelchair user in your family

Would You Bet on Your Brand? - Three Strategies for Winning at Brand Poker

It seems you can’t turn on the TV without seeing some sort of World Series of Poker contest. Poker, especially, Texas Hold ‘Em, has become extremely popular. It’s not for crusty old men anymore. Poker has a new brand - it is now young, hip and cool. When branding your business, take a lesson from poker. See, match, and push are poker terms that can have major impact on your brand. Below is a review of how you can use these traditional poker terms to raise the level of your brand-poker game.

1) See - Have a clear vision of what you want your brand to become. If you can see it, you can achieve it. I once heard a story about a reporter speaking to Roy Disney, at the opening of Disney World. The reporter commented that it was sad Walt was not alive to see Disney World. Walt’s brother quickly replied, “if Walt had never seen this, you wouldn’t be seeing it now!” Where do you see your brand in a perfect future? Can you describe it down to the smallest details?

2) Match - Be certain your actions fit with your brand. Good marketing is not always good marketing. A guy in a chicken suit may be a great way for a new chicken store to promote awareness. However, it would not fit for a new financial adviser office. The fit isn’t there. Associations and partnerships are just as important to match with your brand. You don’t see Tommy Hilfiger apparel on the shelves at Walmart. It simply would not be a good fit. The brands are too different.

3) Push - Lean into your limits. Sometimes limits are just there because no one has the courage to test them. Starbucks took coffee out of the deli and well, you know the rest of the story. It is safe to assume there were naysayers that laughed at such an idea! There are coffee addicts all over the world thankful that some businesses push the limits. Perhaps there are aspects of your product or service that have not been exploited for all of their value.

Follow all three strategies and you are sure to notice a sharp improvement in your brand-poker game. If your brand-poker game is strong, your business is sure to be stacking lots of chips!

Traditional poker definitions:

See - To call in the final round of betting.

Match - To put in the pot an amount equal to that already there.

Push - When a new dealer replaces an existing dealer at a particular table.

Hiring the Right Graphic Designer for Your Small Business

Every small business needs it, but not many have it. I am not talking
about cash flow, clients or even your product or services to sell. Yes, all
of these things are absolutely necessary. But, what I am talking about is
something most small business owners overlook. It is the need to hire
an expert graphic designer.

In a highly competitive marketplace, hiring an expert graphic designer
can mean the difference in whether your product or service stands out
and gets noticed or in having it lost in the fanfare generated by your
business rivals.

Now, more than ever, hiring an expert to create your marketing and
communication materials (also called collateral materials) is one of the
most vital ingredients in the success of your small business.

Hiring the right graphic designer — a true expert — is a bit more involved
than just randomly choosing someone from the Yellow Pages or hiring
your third cousin because he is creative and owns a new computer.

If you are not careful, you may find yourself hiring the wrong person for
the wrong reasons, which may cause more harm than good to your
small business.

This is a big deal. After all, this person will be creating the look and
identity of your small business seen by all of your prospects and
customers. It is essential that you don’t just hire anyone.

Here are five things you need to do in hiring the RIGHT graphic
designer for your small business.

Number 1: Understand that graphic design is an investment, not an
expense. This investment will pay huge dividends for the image of your
business and in determining its future success. You need to be willing to
invest in hiring a qualified, experienced professional, rather than hiring
the cheapest person you can find. The old adage that…you get what you
pay for…is genuinely true.

Naturally, your budget is an important issue in choosing a designer. I am
not saying you need to fork over thousands upon thousands of dollars to
the person you hire. But, if you hire the cheapest you can find and shop
on price alone, I promise, you will get exactly what you pay for.

Number 2: Not all graphic designers are created equal. Just because
someone says that he/she is a graphic designer doesn’t mean that the
person is necessarily worth his/her salt. The key here is to examine that
person’s portfolio of work.

Graphic design is more than pretty pictures or cool graphics. It is a visual
means of solving complex business problems by communicating the
essence of your business message and personality. Therefore, when
you are looking at the designer’s portfolio don’t just take a quick look.
Dig in and ask many questions about the work.

What was the design problem? How was it solved? What was the
concept behind the design solution? Why were the colors chosen? Why
was the format chosen? What were the results? Was the client satisfied?

If the designer can’t answer these questions or answers with “I did it this
way because it looks cool…” or “I used yellow because it is my favorite
color…” move on.

Number 3: Hire a designer with experience. Someone fresh out of
design school may be enthusiastic about working for you, but may not
be the best investment you can make.

You should hire a designer who has, at the very least, three or more
years of real world experience under his/her belt.

The more experience a designer offers, the better he/she will be able to
steer you away from potential headaches and pitfalls. An experienced
designer can suggest ways to handle your project that you may never
have thought of before.

A seasoned designer will also have a good idea of what works and what
doesn’t work, such as the best way to format a direct mail piece or which
colors and fonts work best in conveying the message and feeling you
are trying to communicate.

Experience relates back to the first point I made. Hiring an experienced
designer is a better investment of your marketing dollars.

You probably wouldn’t feel comfortable hiring someone with little
experience in medicine to perform surgery on you…the same can be
said for hiring a designer. Essentially a designer is performing surgery
on your business by constructing the look and feel of your design
project.

Bottom line: real world experience is priceless.

Number 4: Check references. If the designer you are considering has
done a stellar job for previous and/or current clients, that professional
should not hesitate in giving you names of people that attest to that fact.
No references should be taken as a big red flag.

When contacting references, which you should, ask questions about the
overall experience with the designer.

Is the designer a professional? Would you use the designer again? Do
you feel you got your money’s worth? Did he/she deliver the project
within the timeframe and the budget upon which was originally agreed?
Does the finished piece solve your problem? Ask, as many questions as
you think will apply to your particular situation.

Number 5: Honestly discuss your budget. Budget is usually the
proverbial 800-lb gorilla in the middle of the room. Most everyone has a
budget in mind, but not many want to discuss it.

If you have done steps one through four, you will be close to hiring
someone that is not a trained sales killer and is not just interested in
taking all of your money, so you can be open and honest with them.

Having a candid discussion with the designer about what you can
practically afford is vital, because:

First: It lets both of you know, right off the bat, whether you can work
together. You won’t waste time wondering…how much is this going to
cost me or do I have the money to hire this person?

Second: It will allow for a discussion of what you can expect in
exchange for the money you will spend.

Obviously, the key is to hire a designer that can work within your budget.

To do that, you MUST have an honest and open discussion about
money. No one wants a last minute surprise about what it will cost to
work together.

One last thing…

You should view the graphic designer you hire as your strategic
business partner and an invaluable member of your team. Sure, you can
hire a pro just once to create only one specific design solution, but hiring
a graphic designer with a rich breadth of capabilities and experience
that you can tap into repeatedly is a much wiser investment.

As a small business owner, you have a vision, opportunity and direction
for your business. The designer’s job is to come along side you and
develop the best visual solution to fulfill that vision, opportunity and
direction.

It is your brand. It is your image. It is your business message that the
designer will be communicating visually. Make sure whomever you hire
aligns with these key points discussed.

Hiring the RIGHT graphic designer really is THAT important.

Child Care - Summer Care

In this article we’re going to discuss child care and some tips on what to do when the summer comes and you need to get away from it all for a while.

Let’s be honest, no matter how devoted you are as a parent and no matter how much you love you kid, eventually you reach a point, especially if you’re a full time stay at home parent, where you need to get away for a while. And usually the best time to do this is in the summer when both parents might be off work.

This is actually quite common in families where one or both parents are school teachers and get the summers off. No sooner June 21 hits and they’re off to somewhere. But what do you do when you want to get away and have a small child, or even not so small child, that needs to be taken care of?

Well, option number one is you take the kid with you. But that kind of defeats the purpose of going on your much needed vacation.

That more or less leaves you with option number two. Leave the child with someone. The $64,000 question is, who?

Well, you have a number of choices here. The best one is probably to leave the child with a family member, like your parents for one. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to awkward situations. Maybe your parents really weren’t planning on taking care of your little brat for 2 months. Or maybe they had plans to go away themselves. Most likely brothers and sisters or distant relatives will politely tell you that they can’t do it.

Your best bet is to simply go to a professional. If your child is old enough then you’ll probably want to send the kid off to summer camp. This is always a favorite with parents. The problem is, you want to make sure this camp is going to be one you don’t regret sending your kid too. After all, this is still your child.

So these are the things you should look out for before sending your kid off to whatever summer camp you choose.

1. Find out what the camp has to offer and if it is accredited. You don’t want to send your kid somewhere where he’ll be sitting around twiddling his thumbs all day in a place that has absolutely no accreditation. This will most likely turn out to be a disaster. Camps that have specific programs that will keep your child busy all day are your best bet.

2. Make sure though that there is a balance between active and quiet times in the schedule. If your kid is going non stop all day long by the time he gets home he is going to be bouncing off the walls and you’ll never get him down.

3. Make sure you keep in constant contact with the camp and your child. This doesn’t mean you have to call 3 times a day everyday but you should at least keep in touch to find out what’s going on a couple of times a week.

By following these simple tips and having a little faith, you and your child can both have a very enjoyable summer.
