What Motivates You?

What Motivates you? What makes you tick, what makes you work, this, motivations, aside from food are the main fuel of the human body to accomplish what should be accomplished

Before you ask the question of what motivates you, first you should ask yourself, Why do you want motivation in the first place? Is it to be successful, to be satisfied, to be happy? How much do you think youll improve when you do get motivated?

Motivation is simply a state of mind, as said earlier, something that keeps you going, your children, yourself, the people around you, the world, whatever keeps you motivated it keeps you on the go.

If however, you are looking for something to motivate you, take note of the second paragraph, what do you want motivation for?

For effective self motivation most experts dish out these three tips.

One: You should know what you want to achieve, take note of your goals and believe that you can achieve them

Two: You should be able to imagine and foresee what it is like to finally achieve your goal. The Happy feeling, the euphoria or the sense of satisfaction that would be present when you do get it

Three: there should be no negative aftereffects when you achieve your goal. No lurking Devils deals, no adverse effects. As said earlier, motivation is a state of mind, learning to use your imagination can be a stepping stone towards sure motivation. As you foresee your goals and the consequences they bring, the drive to achieve them become stronger. Positive Thinking

Motivation can be found in the most unusual places. Some people fall and breakdown during trying times, while some fid energy in all the trying places, in the most adverse environment, heroes, geniuses and inventors are born.

Ever heard of the saying, Tragedy brings out the best and the worst in peole? Those people who show their best are those who are on the positive side of motivation, what motivates them is the will to survive to pass the dark and enter the light.

Instead of dwelling on the banes of life, these people put it to their advantage, take it as a challenge. That is true motivation, not just simple drive, but also positive thinking.

You Get What You Give

Most of the times that people feel down or blue is when they see that the people around them are sad as well. Ever experieced being soo happy and when you suddenly call up a friend to tell them how happy you are they ruin your day because theyre all grumpy? This is exactly how motivation works.

So instead of being grumpy, help others, be the motivator, and once they get out of the slump, you can help each otehr.

Never get dragged dow by other people, instead pull them up, and when they can stand on their own you can join forces to build steppings stones for your ascent.

Mind set and Will power Beats Everything

If you prioritize pessimism and frustration, thats what you get. As said in the previous paragraphs, nothing good ever comes out of something negative. Therefore, you should have a powerful mind to resist all the rocks that the world is throwing at you. Turn those rocks into building blocks that will help you build up your success.

Having a rock solid will power as well as a focused mind can help to motivate event he most depressed of people. Even the lazy guy from across the street would run faster than a car if you convince him that you have him at gun point.

The world keeps on turning with or without you, and whether you like it or not, life goes on, its only up to you whether you want to be the loser and go with the flow, or be the radical and be successful.

So now its time to ask that question again, what motivates you? Still thinking? Well, the only thing that should is optimism, the belief that good can come out of anything, the kind of positive thinking that could break even the most negative people. This is what has made those that came before you successful; this is the only ingredient in the recipe of success.

Of Death, Dying and the Possibility of a Hereafter

Death is the greatest of our fears. Most of us believe it to be a cruel, catastrophic finality-the end of all we know, of all we are. Yet, Albert Einstein said, “When gazing into the profoundly moving beauty of the eternal, life and death flow into one another. There is neither evolution nor eternity, only Being.”

Many years ago, one of my patients offered me a glimpse into the unknowable. By entering a realm between life and death, he discovered that the point of passing can be a moment of transcendence. His story has allowed me to see that death may not be the end, but could perhaps be a path to other realities. Through him, I came to know life and death as mysteries beyond human understanding. Through him, I was given a glimmer of insight into the beyond to perceive the miracle of existence as an exquisite mosaic about which we can only wonder. I have written his story in my recent book, Courageous Confrontations.

My patient was an overbearing Catholic priest, who after a lifetime of invoking the wrath of the Almighty upon his parishioners, had a massive heart attack and a cardiac arrest. Despite being on a heart-assist device, his heart slowly began to fail.

Father More’s heart attack left him in despair. He had spent a lifetime begging God for salvation from the inner demons caused by his childhood role in the death of a sadistic father. Despite a lifetime of devotion, his prayers had been in vain. But as he began to intermittently lose consciousness in the Coronary Care Unit, the pain that had oppressed him throughout his life began to fall away. Father More had begun an astonishing series of healing experiences that led to his religious and spiritual awakening.

Father More was simultaneously dying, and moving into another realm, an inner journey that opened him to a oneness with the divine, and an absolute peace he had never before imagined. His prayers had been answered. At the moment of his passing, Father More’s last words were, “I’m coming home to God.”

Father More’s confrontation with death opened me to possibilities that were nonexistent in the scientific and intellectual traditions in which I had been raised. Over time, I began to explore realities that transcend those we know through science and technology. As the physicist Werner Heisenberg wrote, “Scientific concepts cover only a very limited part of reality, and the part that has not yet been understood is infinite.”

Medical science teaches that we are biological beings, functioning according to physiological principles that are governed by genetic codes and their biochemical elaborations. Father More showed me that such reductionist notions are simplistic, and don’t begin to recognize or value the vast complexity of human beings. William James said, “Rational consciousness as we call it, is but one special type of consciousness, whilst all around it, parted from it by the filmiest of screens, there lie potential forms of consciousness entirely different…No account of the universe in its totality can be final which leaves these disregarded…They cannot furnish formulas. They open a region, though they fail to give a map.”

All of us have experienced moments when we are lost in a sunset, the rapture of love, or a religious experience. At such times, the ordinary sense of our separateness evaporates, and we often feel at one with the universe. Perhaps in those moments, we have briefly entered another reality not dissimilar to what Father More described during his out-of-body experiences.

Were Father More’s experiences hallucinations–abnormalities of brain chemistry and nerve function caused by oxygen deprivation? Or were they visions–vivid, life-altering occurrences during which something appears within one’s consciousness that profoundly effects the heart and soul, perhaps even under the influence of a divine or spiritual dimension?

What I do know is that Father More’s experiences altered my consciousness. When I sat holding his hand as he died, I sensed an unmistakable presence. Normally, watching one of my patients die devastates me. But at the moment of Father More’s death, I was filled with wonder. I too felt released from ordinary reality, and was witness to a profoundly spiritual process. Losing a patient for whom I cared deeply no longer tormented me. Everything about Father More’s passing seemed right, even holy. In that moment, my own state was so blissful that it frightened me. The foundation of my everyday being had fallen away, and I too was perfectly at peace. As inexplicable as it was, nothing has ever seemed more real.

Father More’s teaching about death allowed me to see that it may not be an end, but a possible path to other realities. Human consciousness has been called spirit or soul–the part of us that religions throughout history have referred to as eternal. The animating energy that is consciousness–something medical science cannot locate in the anatomy of our physical bodies–might at the moment of death, simply change to another form within the miracle of existence.

Einstein wrote: “I feel myself so much a part of all life that I am not in the least concerned with the beginning or the end of the concrete existence of any particular person in this unending stream.” I have continued to employ the technology of modern medicine in the treatment of my patients, but there has been a change. Before my experience with Father More, I regarded the death of a patient as a defeat. I no longer believe that. Instead, I have come to put more trust in the ultimate outcome. I fight for

Paradoxically, accepting death with more equanimity has enriched my reverence for life. Both are mysteries beyond human reason. I have been with many patients at the moment of their death. Father More graced my life by allowing me to glimpse beyond, and to appreciate the miracle of existence as an exquisite mosaic about which we can only wonder. A realm we can only name–perhaps, like Father More, by calling it God.

Creative Visualization Creating and Controlling your future

Creative Visualization -The key to Re-Inventing Yourself.

Creative Visualization is a simple, deeply relaxing and pleasurable technique used to create or re-programme habits. Creative Visualization is a normal and natural process which everyone uses everyday. It is simply a matter of using thoughts and images to access the sub-conscious or the ’super-conscious’ aspect of the mind.

Creative Visualization has been successfully used to:

Accelerate learning, improve memory and motivation Increase relaxation, reduce or eliminate stress Increase psychic sensing Send or receive telepathically Create or change habits Build self-esteem and self-confidence Lose weight and improve body image Reduce or eliminate pain Heal and increase energy Eliminate depression, anxiety and phobias Increase abundance and joy Create or improve relationships And manifest future events

Creative Visualization has been compared to prayer, meditation, positive thinking, hypnosis, faith healing, mind-control, magnetism, and on it goes. It does not matter what you call it if it works. Many theories about Creative Visualization can be found and many explanations are given. Personally, I like things kept simple. I want to know how to do it and I want to decide for myself how successful it is.

I don’t want a Guru or any costly or time consuming classes, gadgets or academic tutorials. The purpose of this website is not to explain the science or philosophy of Creative Visualization but to give people an opportunity to learn how to use it.

Your results are the only proof you need to experience its effectiveness.

It is a highly pleasurable process and completely safe. You have nothing to lose, everything to gain and at the end of the day, your success will be your answer.

I know it works. I know that I am a happy, healthy, mentally stable person who enjoys life, loves people and lives well. I want you and the entire world to be able to say the same about your time here on Earth.

If you can eliminate or at least minimise fear, worry, anger, pain or any other harmful habit and replace it with vitality, joy, love, fun, success and self-confidence, then call it what you want but at least try it.

We all use Creative Visualization anyway. It’s not some new toy. It’s just that we use it unconsciously and usually in a destructive or conflicting way. By learning to use these techniques, you are simply manipulating your thinking habits and re-programming your mind, to consciously decide what thoughts you choose to be controlled by, or rather, who and what you choose to control your life.

We think that we think in words. The brain interprets words by reading them as images. The sub-conscious or unconscious mind records images. Within the images there is an emotional interpretation and a behavioural response.

Thoughts create emotions, emotions create responses, and responses reinforce thoughts.

Our belief system is created and maintained by this simple cycle. The repetition of thought is how habits are formed.

The funny thing is, we all enter conflicting information and create conflicting habits.

You may want to be healthy and happy, but you think about illness and fear. You want to be successful and prosperous, but you think about failure and debt. You love your partner, but you mistrust him/her. You may want to succeed, but you dislike or resent your work. You want to lose weight, but you think about food as a reward or treat.

Well, what do you expect from your behaviour. You’re wondering why things get so crazy.

Before you start using Creative Visualization you need to be clear about the information you want to programme, otherwise you will have limited success.

1. Decide what you want. Get clear on all the details and write them down.

Desire… I want to lose weight. I will lose 5kg within 5 weeks, easily and effortlessly. I want to feel proud of myself. I want my health, energy and enjoyment of life to increase. I want to improve my fitness and muscle tone. I want to be complimented by family and friends. I want to look great and dress nicely. I will maintain my ideal weight and never have to think about weight again.

2. Make a list of negative or opposing thoughts that you know you have.

You will need to keep this list and add to it over the next week or two as you discover and catch your destructive thinking habits. I’m fat. I can’t lose weight. I love food. I’ve always had a weight problem, My family is fat. It’s a gene/hormonal thing I can’t exercise. It’s my birthday, I deserve something special.

You will need to be ‘The Thought Police’ for a few weeks. Catch yourself quickly and instantly refute the statement, or quickly visualize a big red cross over the thought and imagine it melt and dissolve.

3. Relax your body and mind.

Find a comfortable place and give yourself an instruction to tune out any distractions. It’s a good idea to stretch first, as we often don’t realize we have muscular tension until we stretch and release it. Long, slow, deep breaths not only oxygenate the mind and body, but also help bring our awareness into our body. Being very relaxed helps to access the sub-conscious and calms down the conscious part of the mind. In deep relaxation, your brainwaves change to the Alpha or Theta state and this is where you have the greatest access to the sub-conscious. The goal is to by-pass consciously thinking about or arguing with your new thoughts.

4. Imagine a place, situation or a person that brings a positive emotion.

It could be something like floating on a cloud, standing under a waterfall, sitting on a beach or even sailing on a yacht. You could also visualize yourself speaking with God, an Angel or a Sage. Choose an image that makes you feel safe, loved, joyful or special. By activating a positive emotion, you will be hooking your new behaviour into this feeling and giving it greater power.

When you are feeling really good, add the ability to dissolve fear, insecurity, or any negative aspect you may be dealing with. For example you may see yourself under a waterfall, feeling joy and exhilaration. You then imagine the water washing away your fear and dissolving it. If you initially used the Angel you may have her giving you comfort and strength and expressing love and compassion. You follow this up with her dissolving or healing your insecurities, resentments and self-doubt.

5. Imagine your main goal in as much detail as you can.

If you are working on your health you could imagine a great healer or many healers coming in and healing you. You can imagine toxins, diseases and viruses as little creatures or dark spots being dissolved or blown away. You may prefer to fill your body with white light or focus on a particular body part and instruct it to get stronger or shrink pain until it disappears, whatever feels effective and powerful. For example, kids like Space Invader games to play in their bodies and will fire lasers at little men until they are annihilated. (This is particularly effective for cancer cells.)

You want as much detail as you can imagine, positive and with emotion.

When you feel a healing has taken place, continue to visualize yourself healthy and happy in all areas of your life, see your body become pain free, flexible, vibrant, energised and strong. Visualize yourself in your daily life moving freely and energetically, doing the things you love to do. See your family and friends and the life-force itself, supporting and protecting you. See yourself as emotionally strong and grounded. Further, imagine a protective barrier being activated so that you will repel disease, illness and negativity.

Then let it go.

You must accept that your healing is complete. No matter what it is that you have been working on, you need to think and act like it has already happened. If you keep going over and over the same thing, you will be suggesting to your mind that the problem still exists. You will be undoing your work by reinforcing that there is a problem.

That’s how easy Creative Visualization is; you can do it right now. You have been doing this your entire life anyway. This is how you got to be you. This is how your personality, relationships, health, work and your talents became set. This is how your life got to be where it is today. Consider how much of who you are or where you are today, is a result of incorrect information, negative or conflicting beliefs.

Today may be the day that you start your life over, by dismantling what you no longer wish to maintain and re- creating what you do want. One of the most important things I have learned is to finish every session with;

This or something better is now manifesting for the highest possible good of all concerned. Copyright Sonya Green excerpt from www.reinventingmyself.com/vis.html

Get More Time by Managing Your Energy

In the book The Power of Full Engagement, Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz offer a paradigm for time management which focuses on leveraging energy rather than time. Loehr says, “The ultimate measure of our lives is not how much time we spend on the planet, but rather how much energy we invest in the time we have.”1 Based on the authors’ concept of harnessing your energy to be in FULL ENGAGEMENT,2 here are some key strategies to help you to empty your plate and accomplish more:

1) Manage your energy, not your time. Start paying attention to your body. If you experience afternoon fatigue, consider the source.: Is it your diet? Are you getting only a little sleep? “Pushing through” tasks when your energy is low causes ineffectiveness. When you’re sharp and focused, you can complete the job more quickly. * When do you have the most energy? Tackle hardest projects at that time. * When do you have the least? Take breaks. Schedule power naps, workout, or other activities that require less focus. * Consider what is zapping your energy. Are you doing things that are not in line with your values? Are you procrastinating? Identify the times that you have energy and times that you don’t. What are you doing differently?

2) Downtime is key for your success. While it would be great to run at 110% all the time, our bodies require food, rest and relaxation. Many successful people recommend one day a week that you do NO WORK, giving you more energy for the other six days of the week. Think of your body as a battery and your day off as the charger. Constantly unplugging it and using it will drain it, and you’ll never get fully charged if you keep unplugging the battery and using it. It takes three times as long to charge a dead battery than it does to keep it charged (and who wants to run out of juice mid-task), so don’t wait until you are dead; charge yourself weekly with downtime.

3) Rituals help to maintain focus. When we are overwhelmed or overloaded, we operate less efficiently and waste time. The authors of The Power of Full Engagement recommend RITUALS for optimizing energy and time. Rituals set up a recurring time and pattern for needed tasks and behaviors. Coaches commonly suggest establishing 10 daily habits, or rituals, that support what you have to do anyway. However, by linking them together in a set time and pattern, you go on autopilot and accomplish them quickly and easily. Habits or rituals are daily tasks that take a short amount of time and add to your productivity, e.g., making to-do lists, confirming appointments, bill paying, clearing your desk, filing, returning phone calls, checking e-mail, drinking water, eating fruit, etc.

4) Purpose fuels performance. Know why you are doing what you are doing. We get caught up in doing tasks because we always have done them, think we need to do them or just should do them. “Shoulds” are a performance killer. They never quite reach priority status on our to-do list. Why is the task important? Why do you care that it gets done? Things that we approach in a lackadaisical manner take longer to accomplish; stand to be interrupted; are likely to be put off or left undone; or are completed with loose ends. When you work with purpose, you complete things quickly, stay focused and generate momentum. This will allow you to finish the current objective in less time and go on to accomplish even more.

5) Work in sprints (small bursts of focused energy). Life is full of interruptions and urgent or unplanned tasks. How do you keep yourself from falling victim to a reactionary cycle of running from one urgent thing to the next, praying for a minute to last longer? Schedule sprint times where you are 100% focused on one thing. I recommend sprints be 30 or 50 minute time blocks. Close the doors, shut off the phone, have a full drink, and clear all distractions for your sprint time. Know exactly what you want to accomplish, and work only on that. You’ll be amazed at how much you can get done, creating momentum and focus, which lends itself to building energy naturally. You will often get more done in this period than you can in an entire day of random interruptions and urgent demands. This is a great time to work on important tasks such as writing, billing, customer service, or things that if they don’t get done will not kill you now, but will need serious time and attention if neglected.

What is important that you need to do? What will you plan to begin doing right now that will allow you to harness your energy and gain more time? Pick one thing you will do today and enjoy the renewed energy and time you gain!

Ascertain Personal Coaching to Acquire Phenomenal Results

Lifestyle coaching is a type of therapy that has become increasingly familiar over the last 8 years. The term first became fashionable in the United States where, together with Neuro Linguistic Programming, it became part of a new superb wave of incredibly proactive therapy modalities.

In many ways both Personal Coaching and NLP are a reaction against certain aspects of the human-centred therapy movement, in particular Humanistic and Person Centred Counselling. A problem of the human-centred approach is that it is hugely reactive and not terribly proactive. Although all this works great with some folk, with other folk long periods of no exit in sight or low return for time and effort occur. Success coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming are both humanistic therapy in stance, spending effort on improving a customers smiles rather than delving into the minefields of childhood, as in traditional psychoanalysis. Their emphasis is, however, deliberately proactive and their to resolve your problems.

Lifestyle coaching is not about preaching to the coaching customer what to do. This is a common misconception. Some performance coaches are fairly successful in their business careers and then make the change to performance coaching, assuming that they will merely be required to divulge their pearls of astonishing wisdom with the lifestyle coaching customer. This is more like mentoring an apprentice in a specific environment. Lifestyle coaching is instead about life as a whole. Find a Life Coach in London and make the change today.

What Would You Change?

When talking with people about their life, or their job, or their current situation I always ask: “What one thing would you change about your life?”

People always have an answer for what would make their life better.

Before you read further, think about what one thing you could change in your life. The one thing that would make your life better.

Okay, hold your thought.

My next question to you is: “What are you doing to make that change come true?”

So often people answer the first question with no problem. Everyone can think of the one thing that would make life better for them. But people are not so quick to answer the second question: “What are you doing to make that change come true.”

Sadly, most people take no action to change their current situation. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the motto of the Words of Wisdom 4 U website become a reality for most people.

What motto?
“May All Your Dreams Turn Into Goals”

Take your dream, start taking action, and before you know it your dream will be a reality. It really works! I can speak from personal experience. I have had many dreams, which I turned into goals and now they are my reality.

The dreams I only thought about, the ones I took no action on, well they are still dreams. But the ones that I took action on, they are now a reality. I have accomplished things in my life that I never realized I had the potential to achieve.

YOU also have the potential!

Ignite Your Life!

Where have you come from this past year? What have you accomplished? Don’t
like the answers? Wish you had better ones, more fulfilling ones? You can -
just one year from now!

You have within yourself the power to decide that when someone asks you just
one year from now, “What did you accomplish in the last year?” you will
respond, “Let me tell you - I was on fire!”

You aren’t getting any younger, and neither am I. If nothing changes, next
year you will be one year older and still stuck in the rut wondering when
you will achieve your dreams. But you can change!

Here are some thoughts to apply so that you can take control of your world
and ignite your life!

Decide what you want this year. What is it - exactly? You will never pursue
it, nor get it, if you do not know what “it” is. Crystallize it in your
mind. See it. Know it.

Put some sort of physical reminder where you will see it every day. Maybe
you want to lose weight. Put a picture of someone who looks the way you want
to, or perhaps a picture of yourself from when you weighed what you want to
weigh again. This will keep it in your mind each and every day.

Increase your positive self-talk. Stop telling yourself negative things, and
I include thoughts, not just verbal talk. Instead, start telling yourself
positive things. “But Chris, those thoughts just run around in my head. I
don’t put them there!” Well, catch them. Take them captive and throw them
out! When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, stop and ask
yourself what the exact opposite would be. Then begin to think it. Let the
positive thought expand and take over the terrain of your mind the same way
the negative thought would have before you ran it out of town!

Act. Yes, act. I don’t mean join a theater group. I mean get some action
going in your life. Want to get out of debt? Ask the boss for 5 hours of
overtime a week. Over a year that would be 250 hours (I give you two weeks
for vacation. Aren’t I nice?). If you normally make $15 an hour, you will
make $30 (or something like that - go with me here). $30 multiplied by 250
is $7500. Your action will move you toward your goal. Worrying about money
won’t. If you want to lose weight, go to the gym on a set schedule. Whatever
you do - act! Just make the action something that will propel you toward
your goal.

If you do the above - if you decide what you want, put a physical reminder
of it where you will see it, increase your positive self-talk and take
actions that will propel you toward your goals, you will ignite your life!
And next year when someone asks how you have been your eyes will light up
and you will boldly say, “Man, I have been on fire! Let me tell you all
about it…”

Living with a Connection

Living with a connection, is about living and loving all people, living through your spirit to create a world that is not only pleasant for you, but also for all the relationships and encounters you have.

Here are some questions for you to think about/ or journal down:

When you live your life from a place of love that is deeply rooted inside you, how do you feel?
When others around you live from this place, how does it feel?
What does it look like?
What does it sound like?
What are you doing?
How often is this?
Would you like it to be more often?
What would YOU have to do, to in order for you to live your life like this every day?
How will it look like, smell like, sound like, taste like when you live through your heart, and others all around you do to? What will the connection be like?

To live through this connection that joins every human being together is a powerful and personal experience. There are a number of things that each of us must work on to be fully alive, and present in order to live from this place.

Here is a Guided process to bring you to connection:

Read or practice one spiritual exercise a day
Read some that stretches your mind
Be creative for 15 minutes every day
Be willing to give
Be willing to receive
Focus yourself in what you are doing, with every activity
Commit only to what you can follow through on and write it down
Do not worry yourself over petty and trivial things, get busy instead
Take the first step

Life can be complicated, busy, and very technical at times. We are all connecting through a global community, but none the less we must still connect with each other the best we can.
It can be as small as sending someone a handwritten letter, instead of an email or babysitting someone else’s kids while they have a weekend away. What ever you find suits you do it, but don’t stop there, do more that what is required. Say you are sending a letter to your friend, why don’t you send him/her something small to go along with it that’s personal and sentimental to them. This little extra touch does make a huge difference! We need to go out more, meet new people, and connect with who they are. What their hobbies are. How they arrived at their current job. Learn what makes this person unique.

If you want more love, first you must learn to give more love.
If you want to connect with someone, first you must learn about them.

Living your life through spirit also means excepting what you can not change, and changing what you can. Lets say you turn up to a friends party in order to connect with some new people. You are extremely worried and fearful though, about what they may think of you bigger than average feet. You can’t do anything about it, so why not cast that doubt aside and enjoy why you are there. The people there aren’t properly concerned with your feet, they are too busy worrying about themselves! Forget it, and enjoy your human connection.

What can you do this week to connect with someone in your life?

I dare you make that connection!
