Alex Von Furstenberg Grants $50,000 to the Los Angeles Mission and the Anne Douglas Center for Women
The chief investment officer of Arrow Capital Management, philanthropist Alex von Furstenberg, made known his $50,000 donation, through the Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation, to the Los Angeles Mission and the Anne Douglas Center for Women. The donation aims to help efforts focused on the betterment of its community.
Alex von Furstenberg expressed his admiration for the Los Angeles Mission and its endeavor to support and nurture the community. He stated that he was inspired by the accounts of women who have internally fought to achieve recovery at the Anne Douglas Center. “I am honored to support such a significant cause,” he said.
The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation was founded in 1999 in order to provide philanthropic support to different nonprofit organizations. Alex von Furstenberg serves as the director and secretary of the said organization. The Diller – von Furstenberg Family Foundation is presently engaged in several charitable pursuits in arts and humanities, childcare, community reform, education, environmental advocacy, disease research, and human rights. The foundation is also responsible for two important donations to High Line, a New York City park constructed on the base of a decommissioned high line railway. The Diller – von Furstenberg Foundation continues to find worthy causes to support.
