There are a number of reasons people write articles and post them at Ezines.

(1)	Ego: It’s always nice to see your name in print, and I never tire of it!

(2)	Marketing. This is the official reason many write, whether it brings business in or not.

(3)	Practice: Writers write; it’s what we do, and Ezines let us refine our abilities.

But there’s even a more tangible reason to write, and I’ll share it with you.

If the average article you write is 500 words, and you craft only 100 of them, you’ll have enough text for one non-fiction book.

Publlishers look for 50,000 words, and you’ll be able to give it to them.

I’ve used my articles before as content for books, and the process works very well.

Today’s readers have limited time and even more limited attention spans. You’ve heard of TV “sound bites,” when it comes to reading, people also appreciate little morsels that they can digest quickly.

At 500 words per idea, you’re allocating the right amount given today’s tastes.

But to take advantage of these numbers, you should concentrate your articles in a category or two.

That way, you’ll be able to bundle them together under a coherent, attractive theme and they’ll sound like they go together.

Why not benefit in multiple ways from your writing?

That’s my philosophy, and I’m sure it can work for you!

When you use Article Submitters to speed up your submissions to directories, get more visitors to your site and generate targeted leads, there are many variables that make or break your system. There solution to that problem. This is one of the big ones.

First, let’s point out what to avoid. These are traits of poor quality Article submitters that you will not want to buy:

The article submitter does not enter the correct information to the directories.
You can not accurately select the category when you submit your article.
Your articles will not look “natural” in appearance when you submit them
Hyperlinks in the body of your article are not possible to use.
Article submitter is 100% automated so it will SPAM the directories

Let’s talk about GOOD article submitters do, exactly what to look for and what to buy.

This is the key thing to look for. Make sure the submitter works live and allows you to actually see each directory as you sign up with, and or, submit to each one. This wipes out all of the problems listed above.

A good article submitter will have a list of quality directories and let you input new ones into the list. First you write and save a copy of your article in the submitter. It will also save other articles write.
Then sign up with and submit directories in seconds the first time you go to a new one in less than one minute. You just trough the list, pick the directories you like and signing up. The submitter will insert you sign up information and you just verify it at a glance. Then you know your information is correct. The submitter will have you user name and password available to log you in the next time you go to the directory at the click of mouse. You will also be able to pick the correct category, make any changes to your article, insert links and know that your article meets the directories editorial guidelines perfectly.

So, lets imagine you have set up you article submitter to work with 30 directories. You write an article in 15 minutes. Then you go through your list. This is what it’s like:

Select the directories you want. Let’s say you use ten. Ten seconds later you go the first directory and in one click you’re logged in. Then you hit submit, look over your perfectly formatted article, summery, bio box and key words. Two more seconds. You decide to but in a text link buy hand in your article’s body text. Twenty more seconds. Preview your article. Five seconds. Submit your article in one click. One second. You just submitted your article in thirty-eight seconds. So, over the next five minutes you finish up. Ten articles out in five minutes.

They are 100% accurate and save you incredible amounts of time.

Early on, while working in radio stations, I learned that ‘dead air’ is a bad thing.

Dead air means silence, unintentional silence, that is. So, if I happened to be standing in the hall, for instance, and heard no music or voice for more than a couple of seconds, I would quickly check to see what had happened in the announcer’s booth or the news booth.

Speakers and presenters, too, often think of silence as a bad thing. But, they should not. In fact, silence, as in a long pause, can be wonderfully powerful.

Pause for a moment before you start speaking, and you’ll almost immediately have the attention and respect of everyone in the audience. Any whispering that had gone on will stop, as will the shuffling of feet and papers, and the opening and closing of briefcases and purses.

The same holds if you lose the attention of the audience part way through your speech or presentation. Pause, look systematically around the room at everyone in the audience, and you’ll have them back with you again.

Pause for a long moment if you want to emphasize a point. When you pause, you not only get the attention of the audience, but you create a contrast between the silence and the sound of your voice.

You’ll also find pauses helpful when you change from one subject to another within your presentation. In this case, the pause signals that something’s about to change, especially if you foreshadowed the new subject as you wrapped up the preceding section.

Of course, you can also pause when you lose track of where you are in your presentation. Deliberately stop, look at the audience as if you had planned to stop at this point, collect your thoughts, and then start again.

In summary, don’t be afraid of pauses or long moments of silence in a presentation or speech. They can get and hold attention better than almost anything you can say.

Many authors will attempt to find publishers prior to writing a book rather than writing the whole book and having it rejected by editors and publishers over and over again. For instance they may have an idea for a book and a rough sketch with quite a few pages already done but it is nowhere near completion.

Perhaps it might be good to take what is written and break into small bite-size articles and put those articles on the Internet. Additionally each book synopsis written can be an article in itself as generally they are short and sweet and about 200 to 300 words and this means they can make perfect online articles to submit to an online article submission web site on the Internet.

I recommended if you have written book synopsis paragraphs and have sent them to editors or publishers and had been rejected, that you turn them into online articles today. One author I talked to recently talked to said he had written hundreds of synopsis and overviews and sent them to hundreds of publishers and editors with no luck.

Of course today he has many published works and a pretty good relationship with a certain publisher. And he says it was all worth it and he remembers it was a numbers game back then before he was famous. When discussing this with him it made sense to me that all the synopsis might make great articles and he read one to me and I laughed because it would’ve been the most perfect article I have ever read on the Internet if he would only put it online for all to see. Won’t you please consider this in 2006.

People are asking all the time how to promote their websites at no cost. Well, there many ways to get website traffic without paying a cent. Perhaps one of the most effective ways is through articles. Well, promoting your website through articles may not be free unless you write them.

Promoting your website through articles will also quickly establish you as an expert in your niche. This in turn can boost your sales.

Articles are the fastest way to gain publicity and establish you an expert in your niche.

How does it work?

Write articles relating to your niche, then submit them to “free
content” submission sites.

At the end of your articles add a resource box that contains information about your business and a link to your website. Just provide enough in your article to whelp the appetite of your readers. For them to find out more, they have to click the resource box link. You have instant traffic.

Webmasters and publishers are constantly on the lookout for good
quality content to publish at their websites. Imagine, if a publisher with a subscriber base in excess of a few hundred thousand selects your article. Your website traffic will increase overnight.

Website Traffic from Search Engines

As your articles are widely read and distributed over the Internet, grow larger, the total number of links to your website increases. Major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN place emphasis on incoming links to web pages in ranking algorithms.

The more back links to your web page, the more importance search
engines attach to it. This would naturally improve your web page
placement in the search results. Higher ranking means higher chances of people finding your website. This is SEO through content distribution.

Earn credibility

Major publishers protect the interests of their readers. Thus they only publish articles of quality content. If a major publisher endorses and publishes your article, it will build your credibility. It also establishes you as an expert in your niche. People are naturally more inclined to do business, forge business partnerships and joint ventures with a credible source.

Writing articles is an effective means to promote your business and earn credibility. No wonder there is much hype and buzz about article writing these days.

Still some people think that it is a waste of time. Think about it, spent some time each week writing one or two articles and submitting to free content site. Do it consistently, and soon you will see your articles distributed all over the Net. Suppose you submit your articles to 100 directories, and each directory sends you just one visitor a day. You would have 100 prospective buyers in a day.

What about Private Label Rights (PLR) articles?

They are worthless and contribute to duplicate content on the Internet. Most of the PLR articles that I came across are filled with grammatical and spelling errors. Unless you rewrite and reformat them, PLR articles are not going to help your website business. They may damage your online reputation instead.

The best bet is to write your articles or hire a ghostwriter for a fee.

Try writing some articles and see the sudden surge in website traffic, link popularity and interests in your products or services. Before you know it, you will be doubling or even tripling your earnings.

According to a recent study, 30% of college students fail
their courses for not handing in their term papers on time.
However, with many courses requiring weekly (or even daily)
papers, in addition to a term paper, and many of today’s
students juggling school, work, family, and a social life, time
is the one thing all students are short on. Many are choosing
to handle this problem by purchasing term papers online. But,
according the Ivy Survey, more than 80% of papers purchased
online are plagiarised. At most universities the penalties for
plagiarism are severe, ranging from failure to expulsion. As
more professors begin using plagiarism checking software, the
dangers of purchasing a paper increase. So, what is the savvy
student to do? Following a few simple tips will allow you to
safely purchase a high quality paper, while avoiding the risk
of a plagiarism accusation.

First, understand that the same guidelines apply when
shopping online as in the real world. Try to buy from a
well-established and reputable company. Before you purchase a
paper, take the time to do some preliminary investigation.
Answering a few important questions now can save you a lot of
heartache in the future.

Are all of their papers written from scratch? This is the
most important consideration. Some unscrupulous companies copy
papers off of Web, or sell the same paper over and over again.
This is guaranteed to be detected by plagiarism checking
software. Also, many professors scout the Web for pre-written
papers. Avoid any company that dos not guarantee that its
papers are 100% original.

Do they have a clear privacy policy listed? Avoid companies
that do not explicitly tell you how they will use your
information. Maintaining a privacy policy is part of being a
responsible online business. Companies without a privacy
policy may use your information for marketing purposes,
including selling it to third parties. If the company does
have a privacy policy, read and understand it.

Do they have a return policy? Make sure that you understand
how the company will handle any complaints you have. You
should choose a company that will revise your paper free of
charge if you are dissatisfied with it. If the paper you
receive is completely unacceptable, the company should offer
you a refund. If the company has no policy for dispute
resolution, go elsewhere.

Do they have a reputation? If you can, ask your friends for
recommendations. If this is not possible, check the Web. If the
company uses PayPal as a payment provider, check their PayPal
profile.
Are they listed on another reputable, community-reviewed site,
such as Ebay,
MySpace, or
RentACoder? Check their
comments and/or feedback. See if a quick Google search turns
up anything. Often, people will discuss their experiences with
a particular company on forums and newsgroups.

If you have the time, consider contacting the company prior
to making an order. The timeliness and courtesy of the response
is a good indication of the company’s customer service ethic.
Do not do business with a company that does not reply to you
quickly, and take the time to address all of your concerns.

When you have chosen a company, and are ready to make your
purchase, remember to fill out the order form in as much detail
as possible. If your instructions are incomplete or unclear,
it will cause delays in processing your order. However, if you
are requested to provide irrelevant personal information such
as your security number, do not do so. The company does not
need anything other than your contact information, order
details, and payment information. If the company demands
information that you do not feel comfortable providing, do not
do business with that company.

By following these guidelines, you will be able to purchase
a high-quality term paper safely, and free up your time for
other things.

One of the most commonly heard quotes in our world, especially in motivational circles and in Internet marketing is: “Don’t reinvent the wheel.” The advice for the writer is to read other peoples work, notice what is successful, and follow the formula that they have perfected. This way you can be “successful” without having to put in too much work. If this is what you want to do then I have laid the formula out for you right here. In eight easy steps you too can be a successful epic fantasy novelist.

The formula for success:

1. Create a bunch of interesting non-human characters like orcs, dragons, elves or dwarves; of course your hero should be human or nearly human
2. Put them in a fantastical world filled with magic and secret places
3. Open up your novel with something exciting to get the reader hooked
4. Keep the action moving – insert a series of small obstacles that need to be overcome
5. foreshadow something really big that will happen (won’t happen in this novel though -if it ever happens at all)
6. Come up with two big things that will happen and when they are resolved they cancel each other out so the plot hasn’t advanced at all
7. Make a big lead up to the next novel (promise the moon)
8. Repeat steps 3-7 in the next novel

Before you follow this formula (Which is guaranteed to make you a wealthy and successful novelist in less than 30 days) why don’t you stop and think about why you want to write epic fantasy.

You are probably writing epic fantasy or thinking about writing it because of the appeal of creating a hero that you can admire. You want to write a story about an average person (or hobbit) that goes against the grain, ignores popular opinion, and yet somehow comes out triumphant in the end. So why are you not going to follow this path in your own writing?

Isn’t this a bit of an irony? It’s kind of like watching a bunch of Bruce Lee movies then writing a book on self-defense. It is all technically sound but in your own life do you actually do it?

In Epic Fantasy the basic tenet is about having courage -courage in the face of insurmountable odds or even probable death and the courage to continue on when the path is dark. It’s what we admire about the genre. It’s why we read the genre. The little guy (often little is literal as in a hobbit as in lord of the rings or a even a rabbit as in Watership Down) overcomes everything to do what is right. He fights internal conflict, battles evil creatures, and learns something about himself along the way. The great writers of the genre had this courage.

Tolkien was terribly criticized for his work when it was first published. But he believed in the world he was creating and he persevered. Stephen King had the courage to move freely across different genres even within the same book. Robert Howard had the courage to write what he wanted to write even though he never gained the financial reward that he deserved. Frank Herbert had the courage to tackle the big questions and the big themes in life. And do you think Harry Potter would have climbed to such heights if J.K. Rowling didn’t truly believe in Harry?

So where are the muscle bound struggling writers of the epic fantasy world with the courage to push for what is right? Is the next writer to advance the genre out there somewhere? Maybe it’s you?

Some advice

Have courage! Don’t write something because you think it will sell. Don’t shoot for something popular. Don’t read the currently popular epic fantasy novels and follow the same formula. Remember: this one of the basic lessons of epic fantasy itself -not to follow popular opinion. You are writing an epic fantasy story and your main character is no doubt going to face challenges on an epic scale. Have the courage to do the same thing. Come up with something new.

It’s about the ideas

Epic fantasy isn’t really about the slaying of dragons and the rescuing of princesses. It’s about deeper meaning. It’s about finding meaning in life. It’s about taking a road never before taken and facing the unknown challenges that await. Follow this same path in your life and in your writing.

Forget about the grammar – for now

Too often a writer gets caught up in sentence structure, grammar and a host of other technical minutiae. You are going to break new ground. Let the story grow and let the ideas flow. Worry about the grammar later. For now you should just write. Get your ideas on paper. The world is waiting for your novel. Take a chance and go against the grain of popular belief. The world will thank you for it.

Need some help?

If you have written an Epic Fantasy novel that you think is courageous and none of the publishers will touch because it’s too risky then send the manuscript to me. If I agree that it is something special -something worthy of a hero, I will get it published even if I have to pay for it myself. No thanks necessary and no financial reward considered. Just think of yourself as Bilbo and me as your Samwise Gamgee.

Are you spending countless hours writing and submitting your articles to article directories, only to find that they’re not producing the traffic you expected or, worse yet, they haven’t even been accepted into many of the directories?

In this article, I’m going to help you discover what may have gone wrong and provide some tips on how to effectively create and submit your articles for the best possible chance of success. You can then compare your articles to what you learn here, make a change and resubmit them.

The popularity of information-based marketing is one of the oldest and most effective techniques in getting targeted prospects to sites and converting them into buyers. This is why article writing and submission are also gaining popularity. The recent increase of online article directories can only benefit the writer if the article creation and submission is done properly.

Let’s take a look at the most common mistakes some people make when creating and submitting their content to article directories:

1. Confusing the reason to promote the articles with the reason to write them.

In article writing, there are three key benefits why you are promoting them; branding, lead generation and promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.

But there is only one reason why you write an article, and that is to inform your audience. If the article is not focused on this primary and most important purpose, it will fail to achieve the three promotion benefits because no one will be interested in reading them.

You need to figure out first how to get people to read what is in your article, then make them click on your resource box. You can achieve this by producing better content.

2. Improper article formatting.

Submitting articles with embedded HTML to a directory that does not require HTML, and vice versa, will produce an unattractive display of your article. The result? Your article may be declined.

You should have two versions of your article handy. One in plain text format and one in HTML format. This should cover all of your article directory submissions.

3. Failing to maximize the promotional opportunities of article marketing.

You may know already that your articles can help you generate additional links back to your site. But do you know that you can get more visitors and better search engine results from that same article?

Mention keywords at strategic places. Just be sure not to abuse them. Some are even using anchor text which is also an effective method. But it is important to know that the majority of the directories are not able to support this.

Remember that it is not only about the links back to your site. Part of doing well in your article marketing is getting picked up by publishers with a large number of audiences and gaining the ability of leveraging other brands because of the quality of your work. Better search engine results are also great benefits.

But these things do not put much money in your pocket. There are other factors that can turn your article marketing efforts into an opportunity that can boost your earnings. Not just increase the number of visitors to your site.

Start out with a plan and see to it that your article will serve the function that you intended it to have.

4. Publishing content that does not help your readers.

Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all you want is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.

Guess what? Not all article directories are going to accept your content automatically. Oftentimes, they have some guidelines and specifications on the articles that they are accepting.

You can double the number of sites that accept your articles by writing articles that the directories want to share with other people. All it takes is one publisher with a hundred thousand readers to increase your potential audience overnight.

Write articles that publishers want in their publications if you want your article marketing to work the most effective way for you. This also means you have to obey the standard guidelines, spell checks, researching on a good topic and even hiring a writer to produce good content on your behalf.

5. Automatic article submission or not?

There are many tools that authors can use to make the process of distributing their articles much easier. Let’s face it, we all want it to be as quick and painless as possible. However, fully automatic article distribution software/services could be hurting your article promotion efforts.

Following are some of the drawbacks of automatic distribution. Any one of these could get your article declined.

- Only one version of your article is available. (Discussed previously in #2)

- Improper category selection. Category titles are unique to each article directory. The best any software can do is guess at the category.

- No page preview. Most article directories allow you to preview your article before submitting to see how it will look when published. Any formatting errors can be caught at this point.

Semi-automatic article submission software is a better way to go. It involves a little more time, but it remedies all the previous issues and the increased acceptance rate and benefits to your business will make it well worth your time.

In the end, it is all really a matter of choice on your part. You can start getting a little exposure from increased links back to your website, but on a very basic level. Or enjoy massive exposure from a little extra time creating quality content.

I hope this article has shed some light on how to get your articles accepted into more article directories and ultimately increase your exposure. Now, get those articles fixed up and submitted!

You are invited to my Article Directory to get quality content for your websites, ezines and blogs. While you’re there, take the time to submit your articles. Everything is FREE!

Recently in a heated debate online on the Blog of the Premier Internet Article Submission site a non-author or participator condemned the strength of knowledge of the top online article submitter on the Internet of all time. In the condemnation the critique stated that the top Internet online writer with nearly 4000 articles online did not know what he was talking about. This detractor stated:

“Your opinions on any number of subjects does not mean that your arguments are good or that you know what you’re talking about.”

Indeed, this of course is a good point in that just because someone maybe a prolific writer, that is no guarantee that the words within the work are of value. However the Top Online Article Writer in the history of the Internet clearly points out:

“Just because I have presented particular points of view on any number of subjects (1492 topics) doesn’t mean that I don’t know what I am talking about either. Therefore your comment is irrelevant; I.E. contains no logic.”

The critic in her sharp attack on the personal character, wisdom and knowledge of the top online article submitter did not elaborate on her “hit and run” comments. The brevity in her slanderous accusations appear to be as vague as her very popular name and attempt to conceal her identity as she openly harasses and annoys the top online article of all time. No one knows yet what her motives are, who she really is or if she has ever written any online articles herself?

So often we find unknown detractors attack the top achievers in society and civilization. The Internet is a reflection of our civilization so such attacks online are to be expected from those who watch and wonder what happened. Stay tune to the on-going debate from the peanut gallery online. Consider this in 2006.
