Cheryl Cole Loves Chocolate

Cheryl Cole has come out fighting for KitKat in a chocolate war.

Makers Nestle used the X Factor judge – and the rest of Girls Aloud – as its secret weapon to promote the Senses variety.

And as a result, KitKat sales in the UK rose 8.6% since the start of the year. It comes a day after arch rival Cadbury revealed a 7% rise in chocolate sales. Nestle, which also sells Nescafe coffee, Shredded Wheat and Smarties, saw total takings rise 3.8% to £47.6bn.

Cheryl Cole has revealed that winning a Brit award has been the highlight of her musical career with Girls Aloud. The girlband won the gong for British Single for their number one hit ‘The Promise’.

They beat off competition from Coldplay’s ‘Viva la Vida’ and Duffy’s ‘Mercy’ to take the prize.

When asked by Attitude magazine what was the best moment of the last decade, the X Factor judge said: “When we won a Brit Award. We’d been together nearly seven years before we won a Brit and doing Wembley Stadium was amazing.

“We never thought we could get this far. We could only have dreamt it.”

Girls Aloud were created on the talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The band consists of Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

Cheryl’s debut solo track ‘Fight For This Love’ is set to become the fastest selling single of the year.
